Romance Retellings

The theme for the #Romancestagram hashtag over on Instagram this month is “Romance Retellings.” I have to say, this is one of my favorite themes so far, both as a reader and a writer.

Every month as the themes are announced, I scan to see if I have any books or favorite reads to share, and usually I have one or two, but this month is an embarrassment of riches. Or should I just confess–like most romance authors, I simply love retelling a classic

The Tale of 3 Covers

Or rather, “How SIX IMPOSSIBLE THINGS got its cover because a certain someone (not pointing fingers here) decided she no longer wanted to be a romance cover model and made a mess of everything.”

Okay, let’s start with the problem–down below is the stepback for the first book, THE VISCOUNT WHO LIVED DOWN THE LANE

Sneak Peek: Meet Hannibal

ElizBo3One of my favorite parts of The Viscount Who Lived Down the Lane is Hannibal

, Louisa Tempest’s miscreant cat. A beast of a feline who is known far and wide for his bad manners, Louisa is always, well, you’ll see:

“I do believe I can remedy this,” Louisa told the viscount, catching up the pot and marching determinedly toward the house when a protest arose from underneath the lilac bush.
   Rrrroew.
All three of them turned and she reversed course, climbing down through the weeds until she spied Hannibal tucked beneath. Moving quickly, she scooped him up.

Sneak Peek: The Viscount Who Lived Down the Lane

Nearly here! Only another week until The Viscount Who Lived Down the Lane releases and so I thought I would tease, er, share with you a sneak peek inside.

Damaged and broken he might appear, but Pierson was still a man.
He pulled Louisa closer, hitching her up against him, so close, she teetered on the tips of her slippers and found her fingers winding into the lapels of his coat, if only to steady herself.
She might have toppled him over earlier, but now he was upending her world, and she couldn’t do anything but
