So who said the following:
“You lied,” she said, going toe-to-toe with the man before her. “You told me he still loved me, wanted me.” She glanced over her shoulder and shuddered at the sight of him. “What he wants is a good bath and his ration of rum tossed overboard.”
This one, at least to me, was pretty easy and obvious. It has to be Lady Philippa, or as I always call her, Pippin, talking about her beloved Dash, after finding him all those years later. I absolutely adore this book, Memoirs of a Scandalous Red Dress, because it covered what felt like a lifetime of missed chances, and a second (well, probably a third or fourth) chance at happiness.
You can read the excerpt from MEMOIRS OF A SCANDALOUS RED DRESS here, or order your own copy to settle in tonight for an adventurous and romantic #FridayReads.
Please continue to join me every Thursday to match your wits with Who Said It, and come back Friday to find out if you got it right. You can try previous Who Said It challenges here and here.
